Thanks for the Memories
Writing this blog for the past four months has been very empowering for me. There's a lot to figure out once you graduate from college, and I personally still struggle to identify myself in this awkward phase of life. I like to think that keeping up with my "confessions" helped me (and hopefully some of my readers) navigate through the post-grad world. But now that I'm a solid seven months into the working world, I've decided that my time of writing for this blog is coming to an end.
If you've been following along, you know that I'm anything but a quitter. But just like there's a time and place for everything... I've faced those initial awkward moments, found different ways of working out and having fun, and learned a lot about myself all at the same time. I'm still learning and I'm still a recent college graduate, but I'd also like to think that I'm slowly maturing into a young woman, even a young professional, of the (not so scary) real world.
For those of you who haven't visited TwentyTweets yet, please do. I'm continuing my blogging endeavors on this site with the help of my journalism tripod. We're sharing different areas of expertise with hopes that readers will find new ideas, helpful hints, and a little bit of humor in this next chapter of our lives. As we described on our "About Us" page, life doesn't end after college, it begins!
This isn't the end. My love for writing, talking, social media, and sharing will keep my curiousity ticking and coming back for more. "Confessions of a Recent College Graduate" was the training wheels that helped me jumpstart this new blogging identity. I'm ready to let go, I'm confident, and most importantly, I'm happy. It served its purpose and I'm ready to begin again. Someday, I'll revisit this site and remember all the good (and bad) times that I had as a recent college graduate.
Thanks for following along these past few months. It's a bittersweet ending but the timing is right. The future is bright. Have a safe and happy New Year!
Until we meet again...

Erika

Safely & in Style
And just like that, Christmas is over. Time to look ahead (or maybe even finalize) plans for the new year. Now that my friends are all finally of age, it’s time to go OUT. The more sparkles, glitz, and glitter on New Year’s Eve, the better.
First things first. The most important item on my To-Do List:
1. Find a DD.
Yep, I said it. Time to be responsible. Planning transportation with a reliable, sober, designated driver should be the #1 item on any twenty-something's list. I won't even be stuck clinking glasses with sparkling cider (and complaining) right around midnight... because we're booking a limo for this New Year's Eve!
Trust me: It’s more affordable than you think. I made some calls to a few different companies and it seemed like most of them were eager to negotiate the price, add gratuity, or even a complimentary bottle of champagne. It’s all a part of their game.
Now that the plans are set, I can sit back and relax, and enjoy the night with my friends. What better way to ring in the new year?
It’s safe, convenient, and luxurious.

Turning "Tacky" into "Trendy"
"TwentyTweets" is now up and running! I haven't explained what TwentyTweets is just yet, and I promise that I'll post more about this new blog soon. But I wanted to share (and direct you to) my post on TwentyTweets about looking cute at those famous, Ugly Sweater Christmas parties. Check it out here:
